We are pleased for the second year, to offer,The Plantation for the coming 2010-11 season. These facilities are set up to suit your executive clients or employes and hunters looking for a higher level of personalized service, gourmet cooking, and the chance to hunt even more great South Carolina low country land than ever before. The properties will be hunted on a very limited basis and will continue to just get better each year we have it under our strict management. This last year, our first season, we harvested the biggest buck taken ever in our 7 years of commercial operation. (First buck in left hand column.)

Lodging 

Your group will be privately housed in a nicely remodeled plantation era home on 1750 acres of private hunting ground. With 4 complete bathrooms and 5 spacious bedrooms dressed in historically correct southern plantation style, our guests are easilly able to step back in time to the good old days and escape the usual chaos of modern day life.

The Land : Located on the Big Salkahatchie river, this is some of the finest trophy whitetail deer, and wild turkey grounds available. With both pine plantation and classic low country bottom land habitat our plantation hunters will experience the finest of South Carolina habitat. The timber management plan as well as our wildlife management plans have meshed together to create superb grounds that benefit the wildlife as well as can be done. Controlled burns, food plots, timber harvest rotation and of course harvest rules have been implemented for several decades. Stepping into the field at the plantation is akin to stepping into a wildlife mecca managed as good as it gets.

Meals Cooking

Our corporate kitchen will be designed around your meal plan offerring a variety of fine dining, from the finest steaks and seafood prepared by professional chefs.  Our kitchen is also open to your chef if you wish to bring your own catering. Our gourmet dining and family style seating arrangement is complemented by a stocked open bar (alcohol consumption is limited to after hours and it is expected our guests will drink responsibly).

Deer and Turkey Hunting

At this time we will be offering both trophy whitetail deer and world class wild turkey hunts for our corporate and executive clients. All hunting is done on site and set up to afford the best we can offer to you and your group. You will be provided with a dedicated guide staff and transportation during your hunt. We will continue to offer some limited quail and duck hunting opportunity. Rates

. The basic hunt will be Thursday afternoons through Sunday mornings. Hunters will be allowed two bucks (15” spread or bigger) and one doe for the three days of hunting. Custom packages are also available with advanced notice. All field dressing fees, including packing the meat in your coolers with ice, are included in the basic fee. ($1695.00 per person). Six hunters minimum to book. Lodge will accommodate 10 very comfortably.
